I think a laser dot on your chest coming from a shotgun would make anyones sphincter knot up and fail lol

The great thing about shotguns is that you really don't need a scope or a laser at all. I only have mine because I had it kicking around and it looks good mounted.

I'm pissed because my dad is an ex-cop and he's got at least 10+ handguns locked away in a safe and he refuses to take me to the shooting range with him. As soon as I'm old enough and have enough cash I'm buying a gun. Any suggestions?

Depends on what you're looking for in a gun. If you want to carry a ton of ammo, get a 9mm, if you want to kill someone, get a .357Sig, and if you want to wake an entire neighborhood, get a .45. Or be like me, and buy everything in sight. My P229 came with a .40SW barrel and a .357Sig barrel so I can feed it whatever I want. Plus, night sights kick ***! If you're looking for a cheap to fire target gun, that you can also carry for ALP, get yourself a gun you can do a .22 rimfire conversion on. I got one for my Sig P220 so I can plink with .22 at the range or in my basement, but then go back to .45 when I need to carry. Many guns offer that conversion and it's a very economical way to practice without blowing all your cash on ammo.

I think if you live in your dad's house (even if you are old enough and have enough cash), you should respect that fact and wait until after you've moved out to buy your own gun.

Yeah, Bogie makes a good point. In many states, you need the homeowners permission to have guns in the house, and if your dad wanted to make a stink about it, he could.

You could always leave it locked up in a small gunsafe in the trunk of your car . Anyways if you have never shot a gun before I would suggest a 9 mil or a 22. Just until you learn the basics. I really wouldn't recomend a 45 for a first timer!

By the way you can still kill someone with a 22 so no flamage guys!
