Wanted to get anything H&K I could get my hands on when I first moved to VT, but found myself blowing money on the car and rent, so no new firearms.
Jesus Christ dude, you've got some serious ***** carrying that. I salute you, but, where'd you find a holster for it? I know Galco and Blackhawk! don't make any, and I'm pretty sure Fobus stopped making those ages ago. I should pick up a couple for myself...

good TV watching gun. Next time you're half asleep watching a race, and it goes to commercial and Billy Maze comes on YELLING about oxyclean, scaring you awake again, you just pick up your RP20 and unload 20 rounds into his face in a matter of 3-4 seconds (not bad for a piece of plastic). Its got good grouping too, you'll actually need to spread your pattern a bit or the darts start landing on top of each other instead of sticking.

I don't know what an M1 Grand is, but I know that a Garand is a terrible gun for home defense. Long guns are a terrible choice because they are always 1. long and 2. far too powerful. A 30-06 is a retardedly powerful bullet, and when you miss, it's going to sail on through the walls of your house until it finds something hard enough to stop it, maybe somewhere in the neighbors house or car or kid. Same thing with shotguns. A 1oz magnum slug has the power to rip through two standard sheetrock walls, and two exterior walls and be lethal. And good luck claiming self-defense if you shoot someone through a wall or door, unless they were shooting first.

Plus, a .32 ACP is a joke. You shoot someone and they might bleed to death tomorrow, but they'll still be coming at you. It has so little energy, and if your assailant is wearing heavy leather or layered denim, you'd be lucky to get any substantial penetration. Honestly, you're better off using the gun to beat them off, if they don't take it away from you and smack you silly for using such a pathetic gun.

M1 Garand is the original WW2 weapon. Only slightly improved as the M1A (which I currently own) or the M14 currently still use with sniper units in the Army and Marines and still the ship weapon on some Navy ships.

You're right on the errant bullet thing...

At about $1200 for one in decent shape, I'm not sure I'd leave it just lying against the wall of my bedroom, either. Sorry Spanky, this isn't a poseur gun thread.
