i can't believe i got all the way to page 2 before someone else said it ........
CARRERA GT !!!!!!!!
...and you guys consider yourselves fans of German autos......... pppffffffttttttttt !!
and as a close runner-up...... i'd love to have a 911 turbo convertable (996, i think i'm one of the few that prefer those headlights over the round)

I would love a Carrera GT, but I think after a car cost a certain amount, people quit driving it. The front skid on a GT is over $10,000, so if you are in a parking lot and you encounter a speed bump or maybe a sudden grade greater than 13%, you can back up or mangle a $10,000 part on your car. When talking about supercars, it really doesn't make any sense to talk about dollars mattering or practicality though. Do you track it? I guess you can if you don't mind a $hitload of dings in the paint of your supercar. If you are the Sultan of Brunei, then none of this matters and I guess that is who should drive supercars. http://www.autozine.org/article/brunei/sultan.htm

yea flash in the pan...thats exactly what those cars are. if you could see me u'd notice my sarcasm suit. maybe the flash your talking about is the pure gold heat paneling in the F1. the zonda would wreck your face. porsche is my favorite car manufacturer, don't get me wrong. but calling these cars a flash in the pan? i hope you were being sarcastic, and in which case i look like an @$$hole.

I am not saying these are not fantastic cars but can you buy a maclaren today.Even if you had the money would you be famous enough to get a Buggatti,Your only hope would be the Zonda.Buggatti cost far more to make than they sell for so it wont happen again.Same goes for maclaren, extinct. So these 2 are as i said flash in the pans, just my opinion.

I'd get a Veyron, and as a more realistic dream a 911 Turbo GT2 or GT3 or a Ferrari F430. I've been in one of the few Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport cars (those are the ones with the racing fuel tank and such right?) the driver got it up to about 120 (he was doing 65% of race pace he said) and it was the thrill of a lifetime!
F50's are amazing. I saw a video of two ferrari's racing on the highway (one was like a 360 and the other you couldn't tell because the camera was in that one) then outta no where you hear another engine coming up and the camera quickly pans left and an F50 blows by. I couldn't help but grin. I'm a HUGE Ferrari fan.
