wheels -machined from 5x114 to 5x112
I was parousing a local wheel shop in town & saw several nice sets of wheels -
I inquired about them & asked if they would fit the 5x112 bolt pattern I have.
He said itwouldnt be a problem - they take it to a machine shop that specializes in resizing them
from 5x114.3 to 5x112 bec. the size diff. is so minimal.
Just wondering if n-e one had any negative thoughts on this. I searched AW too - & other ppl had it done w/ no consequences.

As long as the hubcentric ring fits well with the wheel, it won't hurt it at all, hell you could almost do it yourself with such a small difference. But the main thing is the hubcentric part. If that's not right then you'll lose a wheel at somepoint.
Look at some old Cragar S/S wheels sometime. They didn't have a round hole for the lugs, they had a long slot.

yeah thats what the rep was saying, that theyd fit hubcentric ring to adjust to new holes...
seems worth it - Thanks for the input...
Those Cragar wheels are crazy, I guess their a one-off type for any aplication... cool.
so much to learn lugcentric vs. hubcentric [&:]
but at least you know your car better, the more you learn...
