I have purchased a used Lenovo workstation which has a windows 8 Pro sticker on it. Upon extracting its key details in the Bios with some software, I came to know its "Win 8 RTM Professional OEMM". I then installed an OEM windows 8.1 Pro x64 but the key is not working. If anyone has had experience regarding the matter, I'd request to help me in getting the original key registered. I will be grateful.

I guess the problem is in the activation key. You really should contact Microsoft for help. I had a similar situation two years ago when I bought a new license for Microsoft 10. When I tried to activate the new version, I got an error. The support service explained the problem to me and gave me clear instructions on activation. However, now I use windows server vps, and such situations no longer occur. As a last resort, contact a specialist or an equipment repair service. I'm sure there is one in your city.
