so like, i was staring at my radio while sitting at the light, and i thought to myself "self, i wonder what CDC stands for... could it be 'CD Changer?'" so i decided to check... and OF course, it is... so i pop the trunk, move the little panel and take a look... yea i have a cd changer... or did, the damn thing is missing... WTF

Same thing happened to me in my 3000GT, and it had one! Tried it in my Audi, but don't have one.

 

If you're in the market, I recently got myself a PhatBox, and will be looking to pawn my CDChanger off on some hapless... Oops! I meant... Ummm... Upstanding citizen, such as yourself. seriously. PM me if you're interested. Once I get around to swapping out my CDC for teh PhatBox IT'S YOURS!!! I'll set a fair price, of course, bnased on eBay research+shipping, and let you know what it'll cost ya...

 

You probably never had one, Audi's are prewired for CD changers. I have the same button but no CD changer either.

Lol, of course they are pre-wired for rear shades. There's a little button for it next to the cigarette lighter .

 

LOL, maybe in your car, but, in mine that little button releases the ashtray for emptying... the rear-shade button would be one of the ones on the panel of buttons above the head-unit, I think...

Well, I recently got my Bentley Manual, so I'mm gonna poke around in it and see what the schematics say... I believe it is, I just need the pieces/parts, adn teh appropriate button to replace the dead-button on my panel with.

nmorrow, the original offer for teh Changer was to fenderstrat1184, but you responded first, so I'm kinda torn as to how to solve this. You two could work it out amongst yourselves, OR..., if you're both game, we cud dig up the "Trivial Pursuit" thread... Winner takes! I know, I know, it's kinda cheesey, but it cud be fun, too, if you approach it with teh right mind-set.

So, anyway, I checked eBay prices for teh CDChanger and it's going for anywhere from $125. up to $175./$200. I'll sell either of you mine for, say $100.00 +shipping, when I get around to getting it out. I ended up working on my Sis-In-Law's Excursion, this weekend, so that's buster. Next weekend I'm headed up to take my Moms and my 2 Sisters out for Moms'Day dinner, in Michigan, so that's buster, too. The weekend AFTER that is looking good, so far.

Anyway, either way, work out amongst yourselves who's willing to take one for the team and let the other one get the changer, OR, post your willingness to BATTLE for it in teh AF Trivial Pursuit challenge, and I'll see you two ion THAT thread, once I dig it up...[sm=teetertooter.gif]
