Well..it happened today..gas hit $3.05/gal (92 octane) @ the local Chevron here in Vancouver (Washington, not BC). What are they like where you guys are? Fvckin' oil-bastards!

 

When I get to Seattle, I'm going to be buying a motorcycle for commuting, first thing. 50+ MPG, even for a super sport bike, you can't beat that... Should help me save some money on gas on nice days...

Bahhhhhh, I used to live there, there are NICE days, believe it or not, lol! Here in Ketchikan, we get 187 inches of rain a year, and I drove a motorcycle for about 3 months straight last year. I remember Seattle having plenty of rain free days in which to ride a bike.

If it's raining, I'll drive the Audi, no big deal...

In the UK you're looking at around $5.50 per US gallon.

(If I've converted that correctly. It's about £0.95 per litre.)

I don't know what bike you are talking about, but my CBR never got close to 50 mpg, more like 30. A small cruiser, a 500 or something gets good mpg, but not a sport bike thats for sure. And gas here is around 3$ a gallon for 92 as well in Michigan.

 

3.049 for gas here in neptune beach, fl, for 93.

 

with bikes (especially sport bikes) it depends on how you ride...the range is MUCH wider than cars...i would get about 20mpg on the track on my gixxer600, but i could get 60+mpg on the freeway.


in the bay area it's been over 3 bucks for about a month now....i pay 3.15-3.25 for 91
