Anyone else think that this looks a bit like a ripped off AstonMartin from a few years ago?




Is Jaguar out of ideas? Would you own this car? Anyone read anything good/bad about it?

I think the old ones were rejected Aston Martin designs... so this could be more of the same.

I was gonna google it, but, since it HIGHLY unlikely I'd be sportin either, anytime soon, I'm not THAT curious. I do think I read somehwhere that the chief designer went from AM to Ford, or sunthin[&:]

 

i believe i read that too, or was it on Top Gear. I like the looks of it actually, and teh exhuast on it is sweet.

 

I agree. Very much alike.

In person it is a very nice car. I guess if you are going to duplicate anyone, AM is a pretty fine company to copy. And like Jazz said, I think the designer was previously at AM.

I think this goes a LONG way towards establishing that I'm ALWAYS right, and that you guys should ALWAYS go along with WHTEVER I say!

I saw one on the road the other day. It was good looking. I don't like the front grille part oe the interior really, but it is still the best looking Jag being produced right now. The rest of the line up looks like slightly modded version of a Taurus. [:'(]

edit - I almost forgot - great memory there AWD.

 

Yeah.

The reason it looks similar is because Ford owns both Jag and Aston. The DB and the XK are built on the same platform. Have been for years. It's like why a Camaro and Firebird look similar. The designer didn't leave Aston for Ford since it's one and the same. I'm going to go post this on some other forum calling you all idiots for not knowing everything about Astons. [&:]

As they like to say, the Aston Martin is just a Jag in drag, but damn it looks good. I'm still considering the new Vantage.
