Me and my friend wana go auto cross, we just cant find a good place, close to us.

I will be in solo2 couse I am bone stock, exept my radio

 

yeah the inspections called tech, they basically make sure your car is sae, no loose objects in the car at all, if the hood fastens down safely, etc. Also, if your battery is clampled down, if not you cant race.Also need a helmet with snell 95 or better, but the club usually has helmets they borrow out.

 

How can I find an open track neer new york city. I wana just go have fun. I dont really care about competition.

You should also look into Road Course.
That looks like it could be even more fun then trying to not hit cone. but it you need too much or the cost is too high i'm going to autoX
