Hi there all. I've registered on the site to find out a hit of info on 2007 RS4 mirrors. I work in a bodyshop in the Shetland isles and we've just got an RS4 avant in for some work. It's getting new mirror bases as the old ones are really badly corroded. I've got the mirror apart but can't figure out how the plastic case separates from the base.

I've got the right side mirror of the car,glass out,motor out. I still can't figure out how to get the base off. Has anybody had them apart before?
