I think the e92 m3 would be faster since its around 300lbs lighter than the rs4,the msrp for the e92 is only 54k,
the rs4 is like 66k.I know that rs4 are nice,im just saying that a m3 is cheaper and a better buy and is 12k less than
the rs4.http://www.fast-autos.net/vehicles/BMW/2008/M3/e92 m3 specs and pics

NSX,

Its all about what you want and where you drive. Yes the BMW will be a tad faster which sucks but have it rain and watch the RS4 rip past it like it was a Geo Metro in a mud puddle.

dont get all **** that bmw has surpassed audi.btw rs4 is way to overprice who needs awd if your living in a place that barely rains. and awd is less fuel efficient compared to rwd and fwd.i know your **** that a 66k car is being slaughtered by a new and more advance m3 and is 12k less than the rs4.What can you do with the 12k? when you add a supercharger for the e92 m3 it would be around 500hp,thats if it comes out. Hom much does a rs4 super charger cost? around 15-20k, that will cost you around 80k for an rs4,which you can also spend a couple k more for a m5. why would someone who baby his car a lot be driving it outwhen itrains?

Hi all,
I've just read an article in one of the latest well known Car magazines, whichthey've done a full test on the new M3 V8 vs the RS4(B7), the results would probably be quite surprising to alot of people. They said that the RS4is far more muscular looking& has a greater sense of visual attitude than the M3 V8, they also said that eventhough the M3's Interior is slightly more special than the regular 335i, they saidthat it looks abit drab, specially with the Carbon-lookLeather on the dash. The Seats are reasonably supportive, but are very plain upto the hip-hugging Recaro seats in the RS4,the Steering wheel is very standard looking as well, where'as the RS4 has the great looking bespokeAluminium flat bottomedwheel. Eventhough , on paper, they both havethe same performance figures, in a head to head Race, the RS4 is a tiny bit faster in a straight line& feels abit punchier in the Low to Mid ranges, they also said thatAudi's V8 engine sounds better than the M3's as well. Round the Track, the RS4'ssteering feels sharper & more precise than the M3's, but the ride is slightly softer & more comfortable in the M3, as the RS4 has quite hard suspension. On practicallity, the RS4 has 2 extra doors & a bigger boot than the M3(460 litres vs 400). I was also quite surprised that the new M3 V8 comes with 18" Alloys as standard, which look abit small, you have to pay extra for the 19"s, which are the standard size on the RS4. Price wise, both Cars are moreless, exactly the same. This Test showed that the RS4 was better in virtually every department, as its faster, roomier, better looking & more communicative than the M3 V8, I guess you have to draw your own conclusions!

i only have driven the M3, one came into my work and the owner said i could take it around the block. so i wanted to see wat the fuss is all about. i took it around the block and i thought it was pretty fun, fast, RWD, liked the engine sound, interior was eh. i think if i drove the RS4 i would like it better just from what ive read and the pictures. plus im more drawn to audis then BMWs. can not wait til i get to drive an RS4.
