No more carbon fiber under hood?
i was, at first, feeling left out because the newer, later production RS4s were getting stylish chrome strips on the dash buttons. but looking at a recent classified ad, i also noticed that in exchange for chrome strips, you loose the carbon fiber covers on the engine compartment. is this true??? i don't feel so bad anymore having an earlier production car.
Dang, that's wierd. It looks a lot like the RS4 motor but the intake runners are different and the valve covers aren't painted red. Why don't you post it over at audiworld (B7RS4) and see if anybody knows.
call off the dogs!! sorry folks, false alarm. this was bugging me so i fished around and found that the picture listed on autotrader by the dealer is actually a shot of the Audi Q7 4.2. black non-carbon fiber covers and no "testa-rossa".

sorry for the chicken little alarm. carry on....

Test drove RS4 two weeks ago that had no CF in engine area. It was #006, Audi Corp car, second one in the states. If anyone is looking for a used RS4 (Mugello Blue, Black int, CF,Nav, with 7000 miles) call Boardwalk Audi. Salesmen was great (Ken Murphy). It was the first time to drive one that was broken in.
