Default RS4 MMI specifications

Does anyone know if it uses the fiberoptic system or the copper can-bus system?

I am fairly sure it's not fiber optic. And I believe the system they use in the B7 is RNS-E not the MMI, although their are some similarities. Hope this helps.

I emailed audi tech and they told me it was the copper can-bus. The Fiber optic is only in the A6, A8, A5, and S5. This makes full ipod integration with the Dension unit difficult. I'll keep looking.

How does this affect swapping the iPod interface with the disc changer? I called the dealer and was told the disc changer for the RS is $999.99! I stopped by one aftermarket sound place and was told they could not do a fiber optic swap - I'm lost.
