Default '00 S4 Rear Brakes - Help a Lady in Distress!!

What's the secret to retract the rear caliper? I rotate it and it doesn't retract.

yep push and rotate clockwise "one little cheat is to open the bleed nipple" this reduces the pressure when pushing then you will need to bled that cylinder when complete

It's called a caliper tool. A large c-clamp will work as well. I have a 2000 s4 and I use a large c-clamp.

This is what you need...

I just did my rear brakes for the first time, and they were a compleat PITA with out the tool! IT's really hard to push and twist at the same time with out the tool. With the tool it took 30sec per side! With out I pushed & turned for 45min on one dam side!
