Default 01.5 s4 rearview mirror malfunction

Hey, I just got my s4 today. I absolutely love the car, only thing is..i guess the s4 has some sort of rearview mirror that switches dark if it senses light or something..
So my rearview mirror is mostly black for the most part with a little section on the very top that is normal(clear)
Is there anyway to get rid of the black? I personally dont care if that option functions or not..is there any way to permately turn it off so it stays clear? or a way to reset it so it starts functioning properly
Thanks in advance for any help.

Is this in daylight as well? I'm guessing your mirror may have leaked...

These leak. Dunno where you can source the part. Check salvage yards. Also, search on audiworld.com in the B5S4 forum. The only reason I know about these leaks is that a few people recently have posted about the problem.

You could always find those threads, email the people, and see how they correctd the problem. GL.

Yup, you need a new mirror, welcome to Audi's!

It's not cheap, and a junk yard one might not last either, I suggest just spending the $$
& getting a new one from the Dealer.
