No offense but if the M3 driver knows how to drive 4 s**t, hes gonna smoke u all day unless he messes up with shifting from 1 -2. An 05 M3 is really not a slouch but any more mods to ur car would definately put u on a better edge

ok first off he doesnt really know how to drive and if you read the post then you would of read i thoiught it was a 05 but it is an 04 with 80000 miles on it and sounds like my honda....

i am chipped .....APR 4 programs(stock,91,93,valet)

 

You'll prolly get him out of the hole for a little bit, but if he launches right and knows how to drive and M (or heard of how to) you'll prolly be in trouble. The key to M3's is shifting at high RPM's and keep them up; that's where all the power is. Unfortunately this isn't easy, and most people don't know how to do it, so you might be alright...

I think it's closer to 268-285HP, assuming 15-20% drive-train loss. Remember, he's pushing that power to just 2 wheels, and you're awd so the conversion factors aren't the same.

Your chances would be much better if you had some DP's or piggies, but with just a chip, intake, and catback (the latter two not yeilding very much hp/tq) you're still under powered. You definitely should get that leak fixed.

I think your gonna make him hurt pretty bad if you fix that boost leak. Last night i raced a really loud e36 m3 when i had 4 big dudes in my car and a boostleak, he was by himself and i stayed right on him. I have also bashed E46's pretty bad too, make sure you get your turbos spoolin before you launch, spin them tires. M3's have no torque, and are pretty clost in weight, they just will have the wheel hp on you, but you got like 100ft/lbs on him

 

E36< E46 240hp VS 333HP.

Problem with the E36 is just about 318, 325 will look just like the M3. No torque, where did you get that? They have great torque, it's just not as low as the S4's.
We also have 300lbs on the E46.

Let me know how you can get the turbo's to spool when not in gear.

What i mean is rev up enough not too bog, lol and i know what you mean, they do have torque, more than most cars, but i say no torque cuz im used to the S4, and compared to a chipped b5 s4, any m3 is gonna be out torqued, even the E92. Their high end is ridiculous though
