I keep seeing Audi s4's with 19" wheels? I want tto get 19 x 8.5 but I want to know if 18 x 8 will fit better? And is there any inner fender rub with the 19 x 8.5 wheels?

 

it really depends on which S4 you are talking about.. the newer B6 and B7 S4 will do the 19 x 8.5 with out a problem.. as you can see on any new RS4.. as that is what stock is.. as for the old B5.. i have not heard of any one having problems.. but most of the people i know did 18s..

 

I think a lot of depend on how wide you go... ive heard that 19x8.5 is about the limit...(for b5) Ive heard of wider... but you get fender and rubbing issues after that...and usually requires soem rolling of the fender. IMO most 19's ive seen look too big. Ive seen a few that look very very nice.. but I think 18's look fine on this car, and the standard is uauly 18x 8 or 18x8.5

 

Ive got 19x8's on my lowered s4, i had 235 tires and they rubbed big time, like chuncks of rubber would come off when i would turn slightly and hit a bump, so i had to move down in tire size

 

Thats good to know, I like the look of the 19s but maybe 18's would be a safer bet. Especiaslly in CA. the roads out here suck.

I would love for my s4 to be half of what yours sounds like I can't decide what to do first wether it be exterior or performance mods. The car is quick now but i can feel so much potential. I think wheels and suspension and chip are first top three on my list

 

I would say performance mods myself.... theres nothing like a sleeper.. if its possible with an s4.. kind of.. but not really to people who are saavy. But your first 3 are good choices.. good luck with it.
