Just picked up a '94 Audi s4 with about 160k on it. It had been sitting in a friends barn for 7 or 8 years and I bought because body and interior are mint. Had my audi mechanic (different state) go through everything and replace whatever needed replacing. Car runs like a dream except for every 10th time or so I go from a stop (1st gear)... there is a grinding sound that seems to come from right front wheel of vehicle, but no loss of power. Additionally... and only under full throttle and irregardless of gear, it seems to slip and grind alternately but not consistently. My mechanic assured me the turbo was fine and just replaced all of the seals and hose on the car. So... only under full throttle, anything but is no issue whatsoever. Again, he is in a different state and said over the phone that perhaps the differential needs flushing? Anyone? I spent 6k getting this bad boy mint and would have to seriously reconsider putting many more k's into it right now when my B5 is its own continous project.
