1997 S6 general boost question
Hi,
any one who has an S6 5 cylinder model, could they pease answer a question for me.
Can you drive the car and when warm at around three thousand RPM can you accelerate at around a half to two thirds throttle and then see what your boost display reads and then also try the same thing at full throttle (just for a moment) and see what the boost is.
Mine at part throttle is around 1.4 bars and at full throttle it is 1.9 bars.
I just wondered if this is normal as I notice the book says around 2.5 bars.
Thanks all

Welcome to Audi Forums Muppetman!
Since you're new... check out the START HERE! (click this link) link to get a rundown of the lingo/vocab here at audiforums.
Then be sure to search the archives when you have a question. Chances are the question has been asked before (probably several times) and the archives will have plenty of information to answer your question. If you still need answers, please feel free to ask questions.
Don't feel intimidated; we are all a bunch of pretty cool guys (and gals). Feel free to post advice, comments, ideas, suggestions, and even pics.

I'm not too familiar with the S6, but... Have you investigated the MAF and DV to see if they aren't failing?
