Default 2 Quick Questions!

1, I noticed that my rear view mirror is leaking... How do I take it off?
2, since I attempted to remove the mirror with great haste fearful that the leaking stuff would damage my interior I spidered the windshield... How much is a fair price for audi to replace my windshield?

Please keep the "lol" to your selves [>:]

GOD F*CKING DAMNIT!

the mirror can be replaced for free by the manufacturer the name is somewhere on the back and your insurance should cover the windshield and dont worry about audi doing it, the replacement glass is just as good or better ,cheers

It must be because your mirror fluid is too high, just drain some and you'll be good

I noticed the leaking after I noticed a rather large bubble moving around in there... Kind of like when you drop your calculator and that dark bubble moves around under the plastic on the LCD... I think the problem may be that there isn't enough fluid in there, which is why there is a bubble (rather big now).

If I use insurance to do it, do I have to make a claim and pay a deductible?
Still how do I remove this sucker from my windshield? I'd like to get a better look at the mirror by taking it off. I read more into the forums and I saw that someone's rear view looked like a "Lava-Lamp" this is indeed what mine looks like. They say you have to turn it 90 degrees CCW and then it comes off, the thing is I can turn it CCW about an 8th of an inch, then it completely stops moving. Any suggestions?

I read another write up, I need to use pliers in conjunction with a towel to get this sucker off. I do have one more question. Can you use an audi auto dimming mirror with a compass on it? Will this work w/ a 2002 Audi S4 B5?
