Default 2000 s4 - mod ideas

Hey guys, this is my first time posting in awhile. I've recently been in college and have left my car back home so I haven't been doing much with it.

I have a 200 s4 - still with lower miles, and in great condition. So far it is basically stock, plus exhaust, tint, and grille.

I want to do some mods that will make it look like a newer model. Not a specific model, but just a newer looking style. Looking for some ideas, let me know what you think

Take out the grill splitter things in the front bumper. Remove the orange reflectors in the headlights. Get a lip spoiler and blacked out taillights. Hagas mirrors always help too. Anyone know anywhere to get hagas mirrors btw?

first things first. before you go and start modding you car make sure your maintenance is up to date. I know you said your car was in good shape but how many miles are on it? What im getting at is the timing svc. Make sure this is done first, that will set you back $350 if you know how to wrench, $1200 if you bring it to a shop.

Next, make sure your turbos are in proper order. If not time to upgrade. Labor is very high but RP makes some K04 which i just bought myself.

If they are in good shape start with letting the motor breath. DP and Dar intake is your best bet for basic power upgrades. You will want to do this first any way.

After that get a chip. Best mod bang for the buck ($600 or so) I have the GIAC flash and it has been great for me. there is also APR and MTM, do your own research and determine what will be best for you.

If you do go K04 and you start doing things like injectors...bla bla bla you will want to build the btm end and now your talking big money. K04 push the stock limits of the motor with an aggressive tune, and you begin to gamble with blowing your motor.

It all comes down to how deep your pockets are, but then again so does everything else too......ahhh life.... what a B!(*^!!!!

IMO knowing how to wrench on cars is absolutely necessary if you have an audi and you want to mod it. Labor is just so incredibly expensive that you can get a lot farther knowing how to pull the engine and get your hands dirty.

imo, i would leave the exterior alone unless going with an rs4 widebody conversion. These cars a still clean, classy and timeless, and now that they are getting older, its nice to see clean well kept examples. forget splitters, and mirrors and such. thats just my opinion though

I love the widebody. I think the v8 a6 looks so badass with its widebody but I don't want to swap the whole thing. I was thinking about getting the fenders pulled and rolled so get things alittle wider looking. I just want hagus mirrors because I think the stock ones are too bulky. I would like mirror about half the size.

Default turbo swap

Hi im wanting to swap my ko3's out for ko4's on my b5 s4...i was wondering, do you need to pull the engine out to do this? or can you simply get it on a lift and take them off from underneath?

Default Turbo swap

do you have to pull it completely or can you just raise the engine enough to slide the turbos on and off? thanks
