I just test drove the 2000 s4. It was nice. It had all the options and had 69,000mi. It was $19,999. It had a neuspeed exhaust, a greedy DV or BOV, an air intake and a greddy turbo timer.

Why s4: I like the s4 because it is perfect for me. It is fast bet yet classy, unlike the WRX and the Evo it has a nice interior. That is why the s4 is the one i want the most.

The Car: It was silver with the bose sound system, alacantera suede seats and was in perfect condition. It also either had teh clear corner mod or has ecodes on it. The only bad part of teh car was that teh suede seats were dirty. Its hard to keep suede alone clean and these were silver. So i dont think i would get one with suede seats in it. It also had heated seats in it (a must in so cal).

The Drive: The car was great. I took it hard and it performed like it should. Now this was a 6 spd car and the gears were a little hard to shift into especially when i tried to shift to 3rd real quick i mis shifted it. I took a right turn at around 40 and i heard the tires squeel with some understeer. Now that is of coruse gonna happen in any of the auids we drive so i ignored it. The car pulled very nicely especially in 3rd gear. I almost rear ended a UPS truck it was pulling so hard. Now im not sure if i would say it pinned me back in my seat but it did push me back into it. Also teh clutch is a little heavier than the one in my a4 so that took some getting used to. It had a good suspenison with teh perfect mix of comfort and performance. It was great in the corners. Now this granted i never even got the car into 4th gear. I will be hopefully buying one when i get the money just not usre it wil be this one.

? im confused it was at a delaer if that helps why the price was high. Im not buying that car i just didnt want to botehr some guy to drive his s4 when i wasnt ready to by one yet but i wanted to drive it.

IMO - I wouldnt want a car that was allready modified... I'd want to start from scratch, make sure all the installs were done properly, etc. etc. But it sounds like you had fun w/ your test drive... $19000 for 69k mi is a lil much - but you could always negotiate w/ the dealerships.
and hopefully thats incl. some warranties as well...

 

its not incl. anything and i just wnet to them b.c they were close to where i worked. I have found much better deals and the only thing i would but already modded is if teh only thing it had on it was exhaust.

 

Apg, i was really hoping to ask you a few questions about this event, i know it was such a big step, and theres so much to tell. I liked the part where u almost accelerated into the back of the truck, that sums it up for me.

 

yea i had driven a few Turbo cars ebfor ebut this was teh first with 2 in it. It really pulls at some parts.
