I am looking at buying a 2005 (B6) S4.
The dealer has a few left over on his lot and is willing to sell at ~ $1000 below invoice or $5000 below MSRP. Given that the new 2006s are just about to come out, a heavy discount for the 2005s is not unexpected.
Do you guys think this is a good deal?

I got an 04 after the 05s came out for 3k under invoice. So I'd say ask them for a better deal.
Don't compare to msrp...that does not mean anything. Only compare to invoice...good luck..I think you will love the car.

what is this under invoice crap. You guys should be a shame. S4 on matter what year should demand a high cost. I you can get anything close to a 1500 dollars near invoice is a good deal. And if you need to find a S4 under invoice to have one, its simple YOU CANT AFFORD ONE.

 

that is all true but most likely they can afford 5000 over MSRP but u always wnat teh best deal. Why pay more if u could have soem cash left over for osme mods.

 

You are a marketing teams wetdream. Why would anyone pay a premium for anything if you don't have to? If I paid more for my S4 would it be faster? Cooler? More fun to drive? No, all it would do would make the dealer more money. You are talking crazy crazy stuff here.

I work for audi and im sorry americans are such cheaps asses. Did yon know people in europe order there cars at msrp and dont bitch about what deal they are getting. They a have better things to do then sit at a dealership for 3 hours crying over 5 dollars knowing that in that three hours spend they could have made twice that. You make me sick.

Sorry but this is not my idea of forum fun. It is my opinion and it is not outragous. Im so sorry that dealers have to make money off of poeple. Im so sorry people have people have to run a bussiness. Maybe all dealers and car makers should not make any money all. How outragous is that right. I cant believe the idea that people have to make money for aliving wow. Aparently thats a concept that you just understand. lol.
