2010 s4
Has a lot more torque though, which more than makes up for the drop in HP.
And it being a supercharged engine, I bet it won't be long (with in the year) that people will begin making pulley systems for real cheap along with chips, exhausts. I bet with a few small modifications you'll have a 400+ hp car.

Jesus this is surprising! Wheres all the hate coming from?
B8 S4 is amazing. Significantly faster than the b6+B7, its more comparable to a b7 rs4 though not quite as fast in a straight line. Peak HP dosnt mean crap when you have so much more area under the curve, not to mention it can be chip tuned to about 450HP, and thats on the stock pully and stock supercharger. Several companies have allready done this, MTM is one, i forget the other. There is plenty of headroom for upgrades beyond that. As far as exhaust note most say its pretty quiet, nothing an exhaust cant fix and it wont be long before US tuners are releasing their own cat-backs and performance packages. Its only been available for less than 2 weeks on US soil.
As far as price its $3000 cheaper than last years model and you get ALOT more car for the money. Also because its under 50k you can deduct the sales tax as long as you buy before the end of the year. Interior is very nice, some complain theres too many buttons though. Sports diff is getting great reviews, and personally i like the looks alot. IMO this will hold value better than previous generations, just look at the S5....
If the S5 had the same 3.0T i would prefer it hands down but it still has the old 4.2. I know in the next generation (2011?) theyre switching to the 3.0T in the S5, the cabrio and upcoming S5 sportback models allready have it....

It's kinda funny that the love is coming through now. When they first announced it everyone was screaming it was a royal suckfest. Sounds like opinions might be changing. I'm not loving the looks of it, but then I didn't like the B7 that much until I owned it for a while. All in all, it's an S4; can't go wrong. I'm savin' up for the new V10 R8
I love the B8, i wish it was a twin turbo V6, or even the I5 turbo TT-RS motor, but i still love it. 450HP with a retune and exhaust is pretty impressive to me, and the sports diff is supposedto be alot more fun too. I sat in one today at audi and loved the interior + exterior, there are lots of buttons around the shifter but i dont think it would bother me. I could see picking one up in 3-4 years once its more affordable to use as a daily driver
