2013 s4, recently purchased from private seller, 99k miles. Made it a few miles from sellers house and got trans malfunction code. Reset a few times and was able to make it home. But now car has been in shop for weeks and they havent had time to touch it. They did say it was wiring harness and selector sensor. Of course the most expensive tranny repair. I am going to pick it up today and just attempt to do repair myself. I have a high mechanical skill level and since i cant get anything else done while i dont have a car. It seems to make sense to get the ball moving asap. If anyone has any input on this repair it will be appreciated. Or a reference to reliable repair shop in Virginia Beach area. I am not sure how the determined it was selector sensor over selonoid or module. But i figure i can replace all for cost they were quoting anyways.
