haha RS6 with a chip alone is past 500 =). The 2003 RS6 is one of my favorite cars ever. So powerfull and so luxurious at the same time.

Your right. He welded in what he calls "test pipes" after the pre-cats, and those are hollowed out. Dual exhaust past that. You can barely hear it in and outside of the car. He has went through two clutches so far. He also has an alcohol injection kit for the "race tune". I was just trying to say the bottom end in the 2.7 is fairly stout, and if you don't drive your car hard everytime you get in it, you can have reliable hp. The key is getting a safe tune done by someone who knows what they are doing.

 

I'm having AWE build my S4 right now and hope to drive it when I get home from Iraq. Only thing is, they are waiting on some stuff from the other shop that had my car previously. I'm looking at 400-450ish at the wheels. I want a reliable daily driver that can move out when I put the pedal down(only when it has too). And they are not just concentrating on the engine, they are also taking care of my transmission, some suspension parts and a few other areas as well.

Everyone is pretty much right though, dont neglect the tranny, suspension or brakes. Do more research prior to jumping into a project and then make some decisions that have contingencies. A just in case is better than a I didnt think of that.

 

I really wouldn't mind finding a salvaged RS6 (otherwise couldn't afford it)................so sick!
