add programs to an apr ecu?
Hey I've been wanting to chip my b5 s4 for a while and I found an ad for an ecu with the APR 91 octane performance program and nothing else, but it would require me to trade him my stock ecu. Since the price is right, is it possible for me to get this and then later have an APR dealer also put on a stock program? If so, would it just be the price of adding a program ($100-$200) or would I have to pay a full $600? Thanks in advance.

I believe you will need to pay $125(or $175, i don't remember which) to get warranty transferred to your name. Then the price for the extra program, which is in the smaller range you listed. You could always try to go right to a APR dealer and see if they will just add the program (for the 100-200) without making you transfer the warranty also (most will do, if you ask nicely). Hope that helps
Since you are not to far from them it would not hurt to make a visit. I went up just before the holidays planning on getting just one program but found out they were offering the full program kit for 699. This includes four programs stock valet 91 and 93 octane. Also included the anti theft and lock out program. I was so close to not getting it but now that I have it I just love it. It makes it so much more fun to drive.
Whoa that is a good deal, maybe I should wait then because I don't have 700 to spend as of right now (wrestling season = no job). I'd definitely like to have all those options.
p.s. sweet pic of the APR campus!
