ok well i love my s4 to death but its giving me a good amount of issues
i bought the car about a couple moneths ago and im havin transmission issues, CEL, and clutch
when i first bought the car it shifted perfectly no issues at all about 3 days later my 1st and 2nd gears locked up completly and for that whole night i was out i had to drive the car back startin at 3rd but the next day it went in 1st in second, not perfectly but better, and now it works good at times but other times it doesnt want to go in and i have the trick to just give it alittle more force and it goes in then and loosedns up those 2 gears. at first i thought my clutch is goin bad(still is tho) and it coulda have caused the issues, that or maybe a bent pin (i think its called) on the pressure plate but after readin some posts on this and audizine people have had a problem and idk cause some of the posts are mentioning tranny issues. as much as i love teh car i cant afford to replace or fix a tranny, whats ur thoughts? and how much would i be lookin to pay. oh and my shift **** isnt directly in the middle when on neutral, could the tranny not be centered?
one day after work the CEL light came on and only stayed on for about an hour and went off but then again a couple days later and it stayed on untill i brought it to my cousins shop and they hooked up the computer and gave some cods and wrote it on a paper but i forgot the code and lost the paper and he cleared it, 3 weeks later the CEL went back up and its stayed on ever since and3 timeson me it flashed and slowed me down alot and i stopped accelrating but continued to drive, one time i was racing a 350z and i was doin about 135ish and it went on and it seemed as if the throttle cut off completly even tho i still won and another time i drove my brothers friend home (not even pushin hte car) and again 2day showin my car to some friends, how bad is it when it flashes, i do kno that some sensers are bad and im goin to hook up the VAG back on this and get the code to buy the sensors and have em put on
third issue is a no brainer my clutch is going bad it doesnt like stage 2 and its slippin and its over 100k miles so yea im thinkin of goin LWFW and RS4 clutch
please help me this is pissing me off and im pretty much broke as **** lol thanks

A flashing check engine light is severe. That means you have a misfire or condition that could cause engine or catlayst damage. I wouldn't drive the car untill you fix it
