What did you get? The S-flow? Yes it fine, but don't except much from it.

I read a bunch of threads on this subject (here, AZ andS4biturbo.com),andthe consensus was that the Darintake flowssignificantly better than the S-Flow(for a lot less $$$). I would assume the primary reason for this is because of the holes that are cut in the bottom of the stock air-box to provide an additional and cooler air supply into the system. That being said, it would stand to reason that the S-Flow could potentially produce the same gains (if not better) if an additional cold-air supply was introduced, similar to what the Darintake utilizes (the holes). Considering we're fairly restricted on how largeof pipe and filter you can fit inthe stock air-box, it just becomes a question of which one has the better filter type and tubular flowefficiency (component design).

I would bet an S-Flow with the Darintake holes would actually yield some noticable gains, than an S-Flow without the holes...

p.s. If this conclusion and/or discussion has already been drawn, please disregard my ignorance

s-flow is probably the best until you get to stage 2+. The s-flow has been known to collapse at high boost. I have an s-flow and its great. The only downside is that the filter needs periodic oiling and cleaning.

Well, that's prettygood to know before spending 180 beans on the damn thing. I'd almost opt for the Darintake then using a standard K&N cone/cylinder-shaped filter, but I digress again: The oil in the K&N's tend to mess with the MAF, don't they...? You just can't win![:@]

Yea, K&N not so good on the MAF. Some guys have gone with the new AEM Dryflow filter. Even an ITG panel filter will be better with the darintake. I have one, that I tested back to back with the S-flow & my logs only showed around 10g/s in the very upper RPM's from the panel to the S-flow. This tells me the stock airbox flows very well.
