Default For all you B6ers B7ers

For those of you that have the stock S4 rims with the 6 big spokes...what size tires do you run? I just bought a set of 2004 S4 rims for my winter rims and don't want any rubbing. I have a lowered B5 but not slammed. I ran 18" rims with 225/40-18 during the summer and had no problem. I bought the rims from a guy with a lowered A4 and he said he had no problem running 235/40-18s. But is there a huge difference in suspension so his didn't rub and mine would? I'm thinking of running 225/40-18 just because obviously the skinner tire the better in winter. But he had a 18" rim with the 225 on it and the tire almost looked too small for the rim, whereas the 235 looked good. Hopefully someone has some input on my messy, confusing thread Thanks.
