Default Anniversary edition S4

I just bought one of 250 anniverary edition 2006 S4s. Great car. Can anyone recommend a performance chip for the car that doesn't involve sending out the ECU and is relatively easy to install? Thanks

you have a couple options

A. Buy a spare ecu and send it out to get reflashed then switch them. You can sell your stock one after and make the money back.

B. FInd a dealer near you that does in-house flashes so they can hook up your car and do it right there.

Congrats on the purchase - nice car.

Revo has software that's just flashed on to your existing chip. You can also get a switcher that easily reverts the chip to stock if you need it to save your warranty.

Thanks - I put in a cold air intake by Stratmosphere today and it makes wuite a difference. I have a local dealer who installs switched APR chips that I'll check out shortly. Nice cars!!!

So I took my car to an experienced local dealer for Revo and he flashed the Revo software to my car, only to find that the HP/TQ readings on his dyno went DOWN after installation. After an hour of him talking with Revo technicians and multiple tries at adjusting the settings, they got no results better than stock settings and had to revert the car back to that at no charge... Any thoughts?

Hmmm, that's odd. The chip should adjust timing and fuel. I wonder if the tuning from Revo is not as aggressive as stock? I doubt there is anything wrong with your car. Maybe give GIAC or APR a try.

At least you got your money back. If they wouldn't have dyno'd it for you, you might not know about the loss in HP.

How much power did it make stock, and how much on the chip?

Haha thats strange...

see if VAST can give you a 4.2l tune, if not GIAC

Maybe the car is already chipped...with something more aggressive than the revo chip.
