Ok, you have asked about turbo whine, i know, its imagine to tell what "1000 screaming babies" sounds like, or what a loud siren sounds like(ok not really, but you get the point).

This is what a bad turbo sounds like...if you dont hear this, you are fine, for now.

MY GOD im glad my turbos dont sound like that. Good find! maybe this link should be copyed into the sticky?

Haha nice find! A normal turbo just "whines" under stress but bad turbos scream, and thats screaming. I think most of the people who ask the question have never had a turbo before and the extra sound scares em ...

Noob question - why would someone knowingly drive on bad turbos? Secondly, why would they drive like THAT on bad turbos?
