The 2000 was wrecked in Mich.in 04, sold to auction. Junk.
the 01 checks out clean as a one owner fleet lease vehicle, so you know it hasnt been properly cared for. Beat it to death till the lease expires then turn it back in to the dealer, I'd stay away from a lease vehicle.

Thank you very much pearls4. I always thought the idea of forums is to help your fellow enthusiast. If i had a carfax account for 30 days id hook you guys up. I thought the 2000 was fishy.
hey guys i bught the 2000 you were talking bout and it a great car the turbos were replaced under warranty before i got it and it was alreay apr chipped and apr exhause with piggies you lost out man the wreck was minor front end damage new bumper and shes good as new,, you fucked up listening to the guy whom i quote "junk"
Salvage isn't always that big of a deal,
My 2001 S4 with 39k miles was $11,900 with a Salvage title....Theft Recovery never was in a wreck till I got in a light front end hit about 6 months ago. And also you have to realize that 75% of used cars sold have been auctioned at one time or another IMO.
Just my two cents - Good luck with the new car!

Also, my wifes Prelude is a salvage, We got it with 70k miles on it for $2200 when it booked at close to 8 grand. Its title was branded at 7,000 miles, I think that if it was going to have an issue becuase of the rebuilding process it would have had it long before now. We've put 25k miles on it during the past 2 years - its been rock solid. Only had to change the master cylinder on the clutch (hard to do with big hands....lol).
Sorry to get on my soapbox, I just think that salvages get a bad rap, when in reality you can get a great deal if you are careful and know what to look for.
Still looking for my salvage 2003 RS6.....wish me luck!
