Anyone try putting 16" wheels on '02-'03 S6?
Don't seem to be many S6 owners posting here... Every post is for S4, but we'll give it a shot...
I want to put some dedicated winter tires/wheels on the wagon and I was wondering if anyone else has tried it. My main concern is clearing the front brakes, rears don't seem they would be a problem.
There are just tons and tons of the 16x7 OEM wheels out there for sale cheap, plus they would be ideal for a winter tire that is not as wide as the factory 255/40's (which work like a set of pontoons in the snow). The quattro system gets it moving somewhat, but boy does the anti-lock have a hell of time trying to stop it....
Just for info - Factory rim is 17x8.
