Default APR Chip

I just put in the 93 Octane APR chip today.... Wow. That makes a big difference. It was fast before. Now... Holy Sh_t.

Not cheap, but still a lot of bang for the buck.

Not yet, but I just ordered the BPV parts. I just went with the Audi 06A145710N part#, rather than the more expensive aftermarket ones. I picked those up from thepartsbin.com

I am also ordering a new TBB. But I got the chip first. I think the stock parts should last a couple of weeks until I upgrade the TBB and BPV's. Then for me I think that is all I am going to do for now.

I also read somewhere? that you should also consider changing your F-hose and coolant sensor switch.

I have done pretty much the same as you: chipping and minor replacement of potential failing turbo components. I must say, there is no problem passing cars at virtually any speed.

The f-hose is only located on the 2000 MY S4. The coolant sensor should be upgraded on all B5 models as well as the Audi TT and the VW Jettas and Passats.

Vader,

I just put in the new DV or BPV, whatever you want to call them, tonight. In a short test drive I did not notice a difference in Performance. But that is not the point.

Where did you get the APR Chip ??? I cannot find anyone in NY that has it to install for me. I called APR and they said they are updating the Chip and it will be available in two weeks.

Did you look here:

http://www.goapr.com/Audi/dealer/index.html

I got mine installed from a place that is about an hour from me in Philly, but it would be a 3 hour drive, if not more, for you. It took them about 1.5 hours to do while I waited, only because I went on a Sat and they had a VW R32 that was getting chipped and walked in right in front of me. http://www.aptuning.com/
