If i get an audi s4 2002 with 188000 miles on it how much am I expecting to have to replace and how much money will it cost?

 

errrrr, what's been done to it? does it look abused? at that mileage you should be looking for maintenance records and a compression test.

Agree with ern and mott. It may not need much, 188000 miles is ~27,000 miles/year...likely lots of highway driving. How much does he want for it? Is it a tip or 6spd?

 

Definitely get the records. People about to sell a car typically don't put a bunch of money into it.

 

or they are tired of putting money into it. Big things to look for are timing SVC being done and TURBOS! At that millage i'm sure they have been replaced all ready so find out when and if they were. If they weren't be ready to talk him down about $3,000 hehe.
