My turbo is loud when it spools up around 3.5 RPM's. Now that I chipped it (MTM) it's even louder. I dont know if my turbo is gone or not, its not like i've lost power, its the same, just that it's loud. I want to upgrade the turbo but im not sure if its worth it. I have 225K miles on it and the car runs beautiful. Im thinking to go with Garrett not RS2. Anyone with any ideas would be appreciated.

 

Sell it as-is or fix it. Consider the costs. sometimes its better to sell rather than fix it. I would say this is going to cost you $ even if you do it yourself. I'm a mechanic I have an 00 S4

 

Well labor wont cost me anything cause I own a repair shop and i get %20 discount at the audi dealers for parts,although their still expensive after the discount. Im thinkin of sellin it though and go with a B6 S4, no more turbos.
