I have been planning for a while ot get a B&M short shifter for my b5 s4. I recently was at a website seling it (i believe awetuning.com, was planningto buy it at avalonmotorsports.com) they had a note at the botton that said it would not be compatible with a 2001.5-2002 car. Is this true, because if it is the case then i will not be able to get it. Also, are there any other short shifters that are good for the s4? What ones would you prefer? Thanks in advance.

k, thanks for all the help, i htink im gonna look into hte UUC shifter.

 

I've been told - by a local tuner shop whom I trust - that the UUC shifter for Audi is not a good one - it is imprecise and leaves you with vague shifting (worse then stock). They also told me that the Stratmosphere shifter is same as UUC. Also I was recently riding in an S4 with the UUC and the driver was complaining about it (after missing a shift) and I could tell it had much more play then mine. I have an early 2001 and got the B & M that I am very happy with.

That link helps me out a lot, I think im gonna go with hte B&M, just cuz i hear a lot of good things about b&m's from other people, anyone have any good things to say about the others?
