Hi guys and gals,

I'm looking at buying a 2001 s4. the car has one known electrical problem. the window controls on the drivers side do not control the correct windows (drivers control opens back window and so forth). What could the problem be? The car has an aftermarket stereo and speakers...

Is this a bad sign (i.e. are the window controls tied to a single computer, or are they like honda and toyota controls where the connections are mechanical rather then controlled by a computer)

The system is within the door panel - servo motor and switches. It may be a simple R&R. I doubt the aftermarket stereo has anything to do with it.
