ok sry bout the oxidizer. Oo well i flunked chem. But yea if u can give the engine enough HP and traction or get ur car light enough its possible. But unlikely unless u have some serious mods.

I run into kids like that all the time at school.
the other day this one kid was saying how his moms new mustang gt (stock) could do 0-60 in under 4.
so I said to him wow it must have like 5 tubos or something. He said it had 6.
still laughin to this day
People like that are just ridiculous. Not only are they talking **** they can't back up, they are making it so over the top that anyone who knows about cars and would be the people he is trying to impress (I'm guessing, unless he is just one of those people who are "look at me, I'm t3h ub3r!") are going to know he is just stupid.

My friend says he is going to put in two turbos in his Mustang. First off, he has no car experience beyond driving, but he wants to do it himself. There's a disaster waiting to happen. Second, he isn't going to improve the exhaust or cooling in any way. He doesn't want to pay for that. So basically it's either a question of what's going to happen first: his whole stock exhaust system blowing out or his engine overheating.

Great, but whats the point any way. Anything is possibleif u have the resources to put into it. but based on the situation it would be very absurd the amount of efort that needs to be put to get to this level.
Hell teenage, wanabes, kids that watch fast and furious and all of a sudden feel lke their cars can do 0-60 in 2secs are always going to be on menu, they dont know any beta. so whats the point anyway.
just say ok, letz do it and smoke his/her ***.
seeing is believing otherwise keep on stepping.

actually the 1994 Dauer 962 LeMans i think has the fastest time from 0 -60 which is in 2.6 sec and a top speed of 251.4 mph, and it has over 700 hp and olny weighs 2271 lbs

and to make an s4 go 3sec its very hard you got to pull alot of hp

Well, his grandpa basically pays for everything car related over there so I was thinking it'd be pretty funny to watch. I seriously doubt he can even get a turbo on himself and what will end up happening is he will take it to a garage and the mechanic will tell him that if he does it his engine will go boom.

Quick question....mildly related to the post, ha. My friends cousin just bought an 07 STi and claims its 3.9 sec. 0 to 60. He says it's not stock but he doesn't really know what has been upgraded (He bought the car with 6500 miles on it)

I know this is an Audi forum and isn't 100% relevant to this post but I'm going to go out on a limb and ask anyway - What kind of money are we talking to make this happen and what would need to be upgraded. The kids parents are loaded but I'm still skeptical....

Thanks!

Oh and maybe your friend was referring to his S4 on his xbox??? Real life I don't think your going to make that happen.

this thread is retarded..

who even cares about 0-60 times anyways? no one important that has half a brain. that time span measured is so short that it really isn't measuring anything but how well a car can get traction. you can have 4000hp but it wont matter one bit unless you can put it to the ground..

the point is, if you are going to measure anything to compare car's performance. then measure the 1/4 mile. and im not talking about the E/T, too many factors to rely on that(driver being the main one). but look at the car's trap speed. this is one of the best ways to measure a cars power. and the power to weight ratio of it.

mike hood has an A4 1.8t that has almost 600Awhp with a 134mph trap
Marc(10secS4 on Audi zine. and driver of the "big blue machine" on the biturbotimeslip website) ran a 10.7 at 131 mph recently in his Stage 3 S4

i know these cars are getting to 60mph in 3 seconds or less. but who cares really. they are trapping over 130mph!!!

Bugatti Veyron
Standing 1/4-mile: 10.2 sec @ 142 mph... Zero to 60 mph: 2.6 sec

Saleen S7
Standing 1/4-mile: 10.9 sec @ 140 mph...Zero to 60 mph: 3.4

then Marc's "Big Blue Machine" (car has only 500bhp)
Standing 1/4-mile: 10.7 sec @ 131 mph.. Zero to 60 mph: who knows
you see how numbers can become scewed. and there are no real ways to know about car's performance without going out and actually driving them

iirc marc aka 10secs4, had a gtech in his car and did a 3.6xx but that was back when was heavier and running low 11's. he is now sporting 10.7x 1/4 and a considerably higher trap so I would assume his 0-60's have improved a fair amount...

he is also sitting at around 2700lbs

that was when the previous owner had the car when it was full weight of 3600-3700lbs car only. plus the guy had 1 if not 2 passengers in the car. and he pulled a 3.8 Zero to 60 time.. also thecar was also tuned by a different, *sub par* company..

. now that marc took overthe thing is over 1000 lbs lighter(i think close to 2600lbs now) and probably has over 50whp more squeezed out of it
