What are you guys getting for city/highway mpg and cruising at 85? Trying to decide between an A3 or a B6.

20mpg on the freeway @ 85mph.....in the city...lol, depends on how you drive...me, i get about 12.....

 

Ha well its better than what I'm getting now! 9-10 around town and about 12 on highway at 85... thats what a 7.4L 454 will do to ya! Thanks man

if i do 65-70mph on the freewayi can get 22mpg! [sm=happy046.gif]...honestly, i spend a fortune on gas... but i don't care... i work hard and it's totally worth it i love driving

 

Whats your avg fill up cost and range/tank?

 

I drive 120 miles each day round trip. I live in the city but most of my driving is highway. I also get to deal with DC traffic so I do a lot of stop and go and I average 17mpg overall. I have a heavy foot and tend to cruise around 85. I spend around 20 dollars a day for my commute. I also have a 2001 S4 with a 2.7t and I get between 21 and 23 average.

 

dang that sucks man at around 80 i get something like 30 but thats highway cruising lol i have a b5 btw and modded to stage 3minus and for the guy above me just drive the bike lol

 

30?!?! I don't mean to be a dick, but achieving a steady 30mpg is unheard of in these cars, even if it is a B5. 25mpg, I could buy, but not 30. If you were getting 30mpg highway, you'd have a range of 492 miles, which just seems impossible to me.

I know, I'm nitpicking, but I just don't want people thinking that the S4 actually get's "great" highway mileage. 30mpg is the realm of the 1.8T and other 4-cylinders, not the S4.
