Default B6/B7 S4 MFSW swap....but a little different....

Good Evening, All:

I know this issue has been discussed a lot on both this forum and on a few others, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this question:

I have, sitting in my hands, a 2007 S4 steering wheel (B7 chassis) without an airbag. My car is a 2005 S4 (B6 chassis). I know full well about the whole dual stage/single stage issue involving the airbags, namely that no one is sure if you reconfigure the single-stage system to the dual-stage airbag if it will even work. From the few instances of people trying it, it does not appear to be a safe modification.

What I can not find an answer to is if the airbag from B6 MFSW will fit the B7 steering wheel.
From the pictures I can find, it seems that they are dimensionally extremely similar, if not identical. However, I don't want to plunk down the cash just to find that the airbag won't fit.

So, does anyone know for certain if the B6 airbag will fit a B7 steering wheel?

Thanks a lot!
