Default B7 S4 Questions

Hey, I'm new to the forum and had some questions.

My overall goal is to get better acceleration.

I have a cat back system and an intake (claimed by both websites to give me a max power gain of about 25hp with both (doubtful))

I want to get an ecu and downpipes for my milltek exhaust. but what else can i do?

P.S. Do I need to get a custom made ecu prog to interact properly with my current mods?
P.S. 2. I have 20 inch wheels, pretty heavy, would lighterweight 18's (can you name some lightweight ones for me?) help with acceleration?

Hey, thanks alot guys, I look forward to being part of this forum, and appretiate your help!

How much money do you want to spend?

The Dp's & chip will help the most over the other things on there. But your done really. No one makes any cams yet, or headers. There might be some LTW pulleys.

Other then a couple of bolt ons that really don't do much, you got to get a Supercharger.

The other thing to make the car go fast is to get it as light as possible. So look into real dry lay up CF body panels, changing out the seats, taking everything you can out of the car. The general rule is 100lbs= 5whp. This is the only modification that helps everywhere, accel, decel, handling...

IMHO, an exhaust & intake on you V8, your looking at like 5-10hp at the wheels.

Thanks man, thats kind of what I expected to hear. I would love to do a supercharger but I'm just not willing to void my warrantee and superchargers are just too expensive. I suppose the path I'm going to take is to get the ecu and downpipes and then just try to eliminate weight like you said.

What are some companies that make lightweight wheels, but not racing wheels that look like they belong on a rusted CRX?

I really have no clue who makes what for the B7.

Wheels, well there not going to be cheap either, go forged & stay under 20lbs each.

BBS, OZ, Kenesis, Fikse, HRE.
