Its just fast lane daily [:'(][:'(] im personally im not a fan.
It just said what we allready know. Auto motor and sport (german website that has been the source of the supercharger rumor from the beginning) says audi is developing a 3.0 supercharged motor that will match the power output of the V8.
Its only about 10 seconds long and is like their third segment about it in the past few months with NO new information. And this is still not from audi, its from automotorundsport

Engine is a supercharged 3.0L TFSI (if I remember correctly
From the sound of it, it looks like Audi did the same thing with the 3.2 V6 as they did with the 2.8 V6 -- thicken the cylinder walls to accommodate the increase in pressure and thus slightly decrease the displacement. Video was speculating ~350HP which makes more sense to me. People will argue with me, but the previous rumor of ~330HP seemed unrealistic. The marketing folks at Audi wouldn't allow the latest and greatest S4 to have fewer horsepower than its predecessor. A detuned 290HP version is supposed to go into the A6 and I think the vid mentioned that the supercharged A6 version would be out later this year (as in 4th quarter)
Even though it's not in the S4, it'll still be nice to see the engine later this calendar year.

Sorry for the triple post, but I have a new theory (rumor
to add to the mix.
I've been meaning to post this and have been too lazy up until this point, so here goes.
Anyone read up on the Yes! Roadster? This isn't really my type of vehicle, I'm more into sleeper sedans, but I read about it in a magazine a while back and noticed that it uses the the same 3.2 V6 from the A4. That's right, this sporty little beast uses the same V6 from Audi -- but here's the catch. It also comes in a twin-turbo version pushing 355HP!
This got my hopes up for one main reason... because it shows that Audi has gone through all of the engineering necessary to produce a biturbo V6 that would fit perfectly into the B8 S4. Think about it, slapping a set of turbochargers on an engine with all of the accompanying plumbing and electronic is not easy. So why would Audi bother with producing a turbocharged AND a supercharged version of the same engine? It doesn't make sense, that's an a$$load of extra work IMO. This still gives me a glimmer of hope that Audi is going to make the B8s a twin-turbo V6. The only reason I still believe this is we have only heard rumors and speculation up to this point, we haven't actually heard from Audi what the new engine will be.
The only thing that would throw my theory out the window is if Funke & Will (Yes! Roadster manufacturer) turbocharged the 3.2 V6 after getting it from Audi. But it doesn't sound like it. I've read up on it quite about it and all of the articles make it sound like they are taking the engines directly from Audi and putting it into their car.
Here's a decent article if anyone cares.

If automotorundsport is wrong about this they will lose ALL of their credibility in my mind. They have been listed as the source for almost EVERY report iv sen on the b8 s4.
I think audi needs to come out with a new ttv6 to match the BMW 335 motor. IM going to believe world car fans because it just makes sooooo much more sense to me. Plus that article was put up yesterday!
There is still hope! That document makes alot of sense to me.

its all just a low grade car website making rumors already. first it was a turbo, then both turbo and supercharged, then just supercharged, they dont have a fricken clue, and its blatently obvious. worldcarfans is hardly a reputable site. there has been no audi release, so nobody actually has a fricken clue what they are talking about. audi knows better than to mess up, ie a supercharger.
its all rumors. dont get sucked in, and wait for a auto news group that is reputable and has there freakin terminology right.
