No fuse, that's in the wiring of the car. Sure you can take them apart & fix it, if you have a electronics background, & know how to test resistors, capacitors, diodes, & chips.

D2S is the bulb, not the ballast.

armed with a multimeter/EVOM and knowing how to use it makes the job simple + some electronics experience

okay nevermind that. Took the part out last night. No way i'm taking it appart.
It looks nothing like what they sell for replacement parts. Why is it so hard to find a valeo ballast online.
