I've been planning this past week to order a Supersprint cat-back for my 2001 S8, but first I was attending to a timing belt replacement. Imagine my surprise when I went to their web site and saw that the price was $1,721.58 instead of the $1,239.08 last week. I called them and was told that, although their web site now shows only the new pricing, they would offer the OLD PRICES ON ANY ORDERS PLACED BEFORE JUNE 10, 2009. I ordered mine today.

This price increase is across the board, all car brands, not just Audi models. Since the old prices no longer show on the web site you will have to call to find out what the old prices are. Go here to see the Supersprint new pricing for the D2 model:

The old prices for the D2 were: Resonator $488.09, X pipe $133.22, Muffler w/Magnum tips $617.77 for a total of $1,239.08 plus shipping is $1,293.36

Shipping from Italy (where Supersprint is made) to the distributer takes 10 days, and then whatever UPS ship time is to your address.

DOWNPIPES. This is the way to go if you want the full hp/torque increase over stock from your cat-back. Supersprint does not make them for the D2 so I've been researching for possibilities. Maybe someone has another suggestion, but I plan to send my existing downpipes to Vast Industries (in Detroit) for a re-work into their "piggie" downpipes. Cost is $450 for the 4.2. Normally they don't do them for the D2, just the various S4 models, but I telephoned them and "Prince" said they could do them for my D2. Shipping back to you is included.
