so i been messin wit my s4 here and there so far i have some victories but i have noticed my lauches havent been the best. well i have been lauchin at 4000 is this the best the rpm to lanch at or is it to low.....

Usually you hold the rev's where the peak torque on your power band is. So 4k seems alright, maybe it's just the foot work.

 

i recently too my s4 to the track to try to get some launch practice, i tried 4000, but bogged every freakin time! so i took it up to 4500 and still bogged, ended up launching between 5000 and 5500 to keep from bogging. My launch sequence, set rpm to apporx. 5000, slowly release clutch till you feel the car move (even the slightest) push clutch back in like an 1/8th of an inch (just to keep car from moving) then when ready to take off side step the clutch and floor it!! oh yea and HOLD THE FREAK ON!!!
