Default Best rim TYPE

Hi all,

I recently got some ASA rims for my B7 S4. Admittedly, I got them purely for looks/cost. Now that I've had them for a while and having seen more information about the weight of rims, I'm looking to replace them. The other issue I'm having is that the area I'm in has awful roads and they keep getting bent.

So, the advice I'm looking for is more around the best TYPE of rim to get. That is, forged versus cast. 1 piece versus 2, etc. I want rims that are light and won't get bent so easily. I like the look of black with a chrome lip but I can live with a solid color. These are pricey but I think they might be good:

There's another wheel very similar with a chrome lip but it's the 2-pc type.

In case anyone else is interested, I found this on tirerack.com:

This is the one I'm probably going to get. I'll post pics if/when I put them on:

I did the ASA JH8's that the TireRack is closing out. I'm real happy with them. I would love BBS's but can't see dropping $4k on rims for a car I drive about 2k miles a year and run on Ohio roads. I would need therapy if I bent a BBS on our crappy roads.

Does anyone have a BBS rim that is "diamond black"? Can you post a pic? On tirerack.com it doesn't look very black - more like gunmetal (see above). Thanks in advance.

^ Take you long to come up with that?

Actually, as jocose as your reply is, it's the issue: my rims ain't round anymore.

Thanks to mav14 for his post in the wheel-gallery sticky and for letting me know that diamond black is, in fact, dark gray.

Pics comin' next week.
