What is the best time to buy a custom-ordered 2006 S4 cab? Some say in Dec during Christmas, some say in April-May timeframe next year before the 2007 model comes out. Do Audi dealers give any additional discounts during Christmas? Also, is it possible to get such a car at or close to invoice?

 

Traditionally Month End, Quarter End or Year End are the best times. Dealers have set target sales goals and like to meet them...or they face inventory carrying costs that they would like to avoid.

There maybe incentives from Audi to help dealers move cars...those can happen at anytime.

Also when model years change over, there is usually a great time to buy the outgoing model....

The problem is that you are looking for a custom built car...that changes everything. The deals tend to be on cars in inventory. A custom ordered car normally does not get as good a deal, because no one else is in the market for that car.

Are you sure you want to custom order...you might be able to find what you are looking for in a dealers inventory and save some money.
