Default which is a better buy?

02,6sp 48k, stock new tires, $21k or 00,6sp 73k apr stage 2+, new- cv boots, water pump, rear brakes, timing chain, $16500 Do you guys think the turbo will go out soon at 73k and if so would the ko4 be the best choice. Is there more enjoyment doing the mods to a stock car or having them done already. Would reliability be an issue on a s4 with 73k stage2+. I do have a back up car but i don't want an s4 that brakes down all the time. What do guys think, thanks.

It all depends on what you are looking for. For the $5k savings between the 02 and 00 you could stage 3 the 00 and have a strong car with most of the minor maintance items already taken care of. However the stock 02 is appealing because it is virgin.

To me it would depend on the condition and the completness of the records on the 00, and what you ultimately want from the car.

Go for the 02! Less miles, newer model year, and it hasnt been modded. Usually modded cars ae beat-on pretty hard. especially a Stage2+. Just my .02

all the bugs on the '02 have been worked out from the factory earlier models..BUT the '00 has been moded to take care of the issues from the factory I am assuming that is why everyone mods their cars, of course aside from gaining some European Ponies here and there

i would go with the lower milage car cause you know what you will be doing to the car

but you dont know really what has been done to the other car

i would rather buy a non-modified car anyday

Unless Carfax says something bad about the 02 def get the one with the less miles. Try to get him to 20k even
